We all know the feeling: You've been working all day and you're just not able to switch off. You're still thinking about that presentation you have to give tomorrow or that email you still haven't responded to. If you're anything like most people, your workday doesn't end when the clock strikes five. You might be working from home, or you might have a job that requires you to be on call 24/7. Either way, it can be tough to switch off after a long day.

If you're finding it hard to relax after a long workday, here are 7 tips to help you switch off and unwind.

1. Take a walk

The quickest way to destress and switch off after a long day is to simply get out of the office and go for a walk, whether that's your home office or corporate building. Get outside and enjoy the fresh air!

A walk can help you clear your mind, giving you a chance to "reset" yourself before it's time to head home. If you're in a big city, there's usually plenty to see outside! Perhaps you might find it therapeutic to get lost in the crowd?

2. Take a break from screens

As we become more and more connected, it's easy to let the internet take over our lives. Instead of going from big screen to small screen, try switching off by unplugging from your phone and simply enjoying the world around you. You might find that you're more present, and more able to relax.
